Spinal Decompression Expert's Meeting - Prague

Experts from various medical fields as neurology, neurosurgery, orthopaedics, rehabilitation and physiotherapy gathered at a recent meeting to exchange ideas, share knowledge and show their results with Spinal Decompression in synergy with other physical modalities.

The meeting began with an opening address from the Head of Physiotherapy Dpt., who welcomed the participants and outlined the objectives of the meeting. He presented the BTL company and emphasised the importance of its cooperation with medical professionals all around the world.

The experts then took turns presenting their work and sharing their experience with Spinal Decompression in combination with other physical therapy devices. Presentations covered a wide range of topics, from using Spinal Decompression as a monotherapy to innovative treatment options in synergy with other technologies TRT, HIL with Laser Scanner, FSWT/RSWT and SIS.

One of the key themes that emerged from the presentations was the importance of collaboration across disciplinary boundaries. Many experts have mentioned the need for an interdisciplinary approach to solving both lumbar and cervical spine pain problems. Some of them also highlighted successful examples in the treatment of upper and lower limbs.

Another important theme was the high efficiency of the treatment in terms of a significant decrease in pain and an improvement in the disability index. Almost every speaker has created a standardised treatment protocol to verify the success rate of the therapy. Experts also discussed the role of MRI and other imaging technologies in diagnostics of spine disorders and emphasised the role of patients' symptoms evaluation as the most relevant tool for the current clinical picture of a patient.   

The meeting also provided opportunities for hands-on experience with all BTL high-end technologies and its synergy with Spinal Decompression. Participants were able to try and feel e.g. neuromodulation therapy with the Super Inductive System during cervical decompression, facet joint treatment protocol with High Intensity Laser during lumbar decompression or even to see intervertebral separation in real time thanks to ultrasound imaging. 

Integral part of the meeting was also informal discussions among participants. Experts were able to exchange contact information and discuss potential collaborations or partnerships.

Overall, the meeting was a valuable opportunity to share knowledge, exchange ideas, and explore potential collaborations. By bringing together experts from different fields, the event promoted interdisciplinary approaches to spinal and extremity disorders as well as expanding methods of Spinal Decompression treatment in combination with high-end technologies.
